Bear Book Club
Join us for the 2nd quarter 2024 Bear Book Club. Programs may include book discussions, short films, speakers, project and more. Bring dish to share for pot luck. Location of meeting (private homes) and the program agenda will be shared with registered bear team members in March. All locations are central to Evergreen. Join the club here-spots are limited to 20 people. April theme: Short film featuring Ben Kilham, author and black bear rehabilitator, followed by discussion, plans for future meetings and call to action.

Earth Day Fair
A litter cleanup of Evergreen Lake and its surrounding trails will kick off the event, followed by activities including nature crafts, educational booths, beautification projects and more! All clean-up participants will receive a wristband that will get them day-of Flower Power discounts at various Downtown Evergreen businesses as gratitude for helping keep Evergreen clean!

Wildlife Watch Fall Season
Join Wild Aware and partners Denver Mountain Parks and Evergreen Audubon for fall 2023 Wildlife Watch. We will provide you with program training via Zoom, wildlife “cheat sheets” and a mentor for your first time or two on a shift. Audubon schedules your shifts and provides a wagon with bio facts, flyers and science equipment for kids to try. If you love wildlife, then you are already qualified! We would love for you to join us for one shift or several during this 5-week program.

Wildlife Watch Spring Season
Wildlife Watch volunteer dates and times will run from Friday 19th 2023 to Sunday June 25 2023.
Join Wild Aware, Evergreen Audubon, and Denver Mountain Parks for our Evergreen Lake public education program! Spring season will be May through June. Fall season dates are TBD but will be during the weeks of elk rut. We’ll have the dates on the calendar soon!
Wildlife Watch Training
Join us Saturday May 6th from 8-10 AM for our 3rd annual volunteer training session at the evergreen Nature Center. During training, volunteers will receive all the information needed to educate Evergreen Lake visitors about our wonderful wildlife.
